kauaiooI thought Benedict Cumberbatch was a great Dr Strange! I didn't know much about the story line before seeing the movie, and it is fairy standard fare - arrogant surgeon gets injured, the irony of him being the only surgeon good enough to treat such injuries, his hands and therefore livelihood and entire identity are destroyed by the injuries, he can't accept it all, he grasps at straws turning to Eastern cures, doesn't believe it at first but then gets on board and becomes a super hero! Sure that's happened to all of us at one stage or another.
What the movie got right was the comedy. It reminded me of Iron Man, where the chemistry was just right! I loved Dr Strange's cloak, which has a mind of its own. I'm already really looking forward to the next installment, I'm sure there are plenty more laughs to come.
